Food Program Training
Providers Choice offers free high quality, engaging annual training workshops designed to support providers in serving nutritious meals and snacks to children in their care.
Our 2021 Training theme is Safe Foods, Healthy Bodies!
Workshop participants will learn how food can become unsafe and explore methods to reduce risk of foodborne illness in child care settings. Understand how to handle, prepare and store foods safely. Review Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations, crediting information and receive annual required CACFP and Civil Rights training. Participate in virtual chat, polls, and web-based activity.
This workshop meets 2021 CACFP annual training requirements and is MNCPD approved for 2 hours of training
in Knowledge and Competency Framework Area: VII.C: Providing Healthy Nutrition and Content Area I: Planning a Safe, Healthy Learning Environment.
